´It was narrated from ‘Aishah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “The Jews do not envy you for anything more than they envy you for the Salam and (saying) ‘Amin’.”

Benefits and Issues:
➊
Greeting each other with salam and saying "Ameen" in prayer are such virtues of the Muslim society that even non-Muslims notice them.
➋
Due to jealousy, they themselves do not adopt this virtue. However, they certainly wish that Muslims be deprived of such virtues.
➌
When meeting each other, the way of Muslims is to say "Assalamu alaikum" and "Wa alaikum assalam." Despite being a sentence of brief words, it is an excellent supplication. Jews and Christians, at first, suffice with a hand gesture or say words like "hello" or "hi," in which there is no element of supplication at all, or they use words like "good morning" or "good evening," in which the wish for goodness is limited. Words like "subh bakhair" (good morning) and "shab bakhair" (good night) are also imitations of theirs. Whereas the way of Muslims is based on supplication, and the supplication is not limited to a specific time. The attitude of those people is regrettable who abandon this excellent supplication and adopt the useless and unbeneficial phrases of non-Muslims.
➍
The meaning of "Ameen" is "Accept (our prayer)." It is, in a way, a brief repetition of those supplications after a detailed supplication. Jews and Christians also use this word. It is possible that they learned it from the Muslims, and it is also possible that among the teachings of their prophets (alayhimus-salam) that have reached them unaltered, this is included as well. That is why they do not want this virtuous word to be in the usage of Muslims. Their condition is as the Qur'an has stated:
"The disbelievers among the People of the Book and the polytheists do not wish that any good should be sent down to you from your Lord." ( )
The People of the Book and (other) polytheists and disbelievers do not like that any goodness should be sent down to you from your Lord.
Muslims should not be deceived by the disbelievers and should not abandon pure etiquettes like salam and ameen.
