Hadith 800

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا تَوَطَّنَ رَجُلٌ مُسْلِمٌ الْمَسَاجِدَ لِلصَّلَاةِ وَالذِّكْرِ ، إِلَّا تَبَشْبَشَ اللَّهُ لَهُ كَمَا يَتَبَشْبَشُ أَهْلُ الْغَائِبِ بِغَائِبِهِمْ إِذَا قَدِمَ عَلَيْهِمْ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that:` The Prophet said: "A muslim does not regularly attend the mosques to perform prayer and remember Allah, but Allah feels happy with him just as the family of one who is absent feels happy when he comes back to them."

(1)
The pleasure or displeasure of Allah Almighty is one of His attributes.
The position of the pious predecessors (salaf salih) regarding these attributes of Allah Almighty is that one should have faith in them without interpretation (ta’wil).
They should neither be denied nor likened to the attributes of the creation.

(2)
One should go to the mosque for righteous deeds such as prayer, remembrance (dhikr), recitation (tilawah), etc.
One should avoid those actions that are contrary to the etiquette of the mosque.

(3) (تَطَوَّنَ)
The literal meaning is “to make a homeland.”
Here, it means to attend the mosque regularly and to spend as much time as possible in the mosque.
