´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that:` The Mesenger of Allah said: "When anyone of enters the mosque, let him send peace upon the Prophet, then let him say: 'Allahumma aftahli abwaba rahmatik (O Allah, open to me the gates of Your mercy).' And when he leaves, let him send peace upon the Prophet and say: 'Allahumma- simni minash-shaitanir-rajim (O Allah, protect me from the accursed Shaitan).'"

Hadith Takhrij «
Brief Explanation
1؎: The reason for seeking refuge from Satan when leaving the mosque is as follows: Ibn al-Sunni has narrated that when any one of you wishes to leave the mosque, the armies of Iblis call out to one another and gather together like bees gather on a honeycomb. Then, when any one of you stands at the door of the mosque, he should say: "O Allah! I seek Your protection from Iblis and his armies." When he says this, no harm will come to him.
Explanation & Benefits
Maulana Ataullah Sajid
Benefit:
The wisdom in seeking refuge from Satan is that when a person is in the mosque, he is engaged in the remembrance and worship of Allah, due to which Satan's schemes do not affect him. However, when a person leaves the mosque, the devils get an opportunity to try to mislead him in buying and selling and other dealings. Therefore, at that time, a person needs to come under the protection of Allah so that he may remain safe from the evil of Satan.
