Brief Explanation
1؎ : That is, neither less nor more. This is also the opinion of Imam Shafi‘i, but for the purpose of dhikr (remembrance) and supplication, saying «بسم اللہ» or «الحمد للہ» is correct and permissible, though not for the purpose of recitation. Imam Malik has permitted the recitation of the Qur’an for a menstruating woman.
