Hadith 582

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " إِنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ حَاجَةٌ قَضَاهَا ، ثُمَّ يَنَامُ كَهَيْئَتِهِ لَا يَمَسُّ مَاءً " .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` "The Messenger of Allah, if he needed any of his wives, would satisfy his needs then he would sleep as he was, without touching water."

Brief Explanation
1؎: If a person in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) intends to sleep without performing the ritual bath (ghusl), it is recommended (mustahabb) that he perform ablution (wudu). However, if he does not do so, it is still permissible, as mentioned in this hadith and the previous hadith.
