´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "A Bedouin entered the mosque when the Messenger of Allah was sitting there, and (the man) said: 'O Allah, forgive me and Muhammed, and do not forgive anyone else with us.' The Messenger of Allah smiled and said: 'You have placed restrictions on something that is vast.' Then the Bedouin turned away, went to a corner of the mosque, spread his legs and began to urinate. After he had a better understanding, the Bedouin said: 'He got up and came to me, and may my father and mother be ransomed for him, he did not rebuke me nor revile me. He said: "This mosque is not for urinating in. Rather it is built for the remembrance of Allah and prayer.'" Then he called for a large vessel of water and poured it over the place where he had urinated."

Commentary:
(1)
One should tolerate even a major mistake made by a person ignorant of the religion.
He should be informed in a good manner that this action is not correct.
(2)
From this, the compassion, forbearance, and wisdom of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) become evident, as he himself did not scold or rebuke, and he also forbade the noble Companions (radi Allahu anhum) from doing so.
(3)
The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) allowed the Bedouin to urinate in the mosque because he had already started.
If he had been stopped during this, then due to suddenly stopping the urination, some illness could have arisen.
Or, if he had become frightened and run away, drops of urine would have made the ground impure far and wide, and his own body and clothes would also have become contaminated.
Because he was not stopped immediately, only that particular spot of the ground became impure which had already been affected.
And his body and clothes did not become impure.
(4)
The mistake the Bedouin made in his supplication, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) drew his attention to it, even though the reason for this mistake was his love and reverence for the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).
(5)
The mosque should be kept safe from impurity and rubbish.
(6)
Apart from prayer, one should also sit in the mosque and remember Allah.
Coming to the mosque at the exact time and running out immediately after finishing the prayer is not a good habit.
(7)
To purify unpaved ground from impurity, it is sufficient to pour a bucket of water over it.
With the water, the remaining effects of the urine will also be absorbed into the ground, and the ground will become pure; there is no need to dig up the ground.
A paved floor can also be purified by pouring a bucket of water over it.
When the water passes beyond that spot, the floor becomes pure.
