Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Dr. Abdur Rahman Freywai
1:
People interpret the above narration by saying that here "wudu" refers to its linguistic meaning. However, this is not correct, because "wudu" is a technical (shar‘i) term, and it is not permissible to interpret it according to its linguistic meaning without any evidence.

Benefits and Issues:
➊ The camel is a lawful animal, but performing ablution (wudu) after eating its meat is the sacred command of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). What is the wisdom or reason behind this? Allah Ta’ala knows best. For us, the statement of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, is sufficient: «وَمَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا» [59-الحشر:7] “Whatever the Messenger gives you, take it; and whatever he forbids you from, abstain from it.”
➋ Raising goats is a source of blessing.

493. Commentary:
This ruling pertains to camel enclosures, where they are tied up at night. In other places where there are only one or two camels, it is permissible, and in fact, a camel may even be used as a sutrah (prayer barrier).
