1؎ : From this it is understood that passing the fingers between the toes (khilal) is Sunnah. The method of performing khilal of the fingers is that one should insert a finger between two fingers in such a way that the area between both fingers becomes completely wet.
Explanation & Benefits
Maulana Ataullah Sajid
Commentary: Sometimes, due to water not reaching properly between the fingers of the hands and feet, some areas remain dry; therefore, one should perform khilal (passing the fingers through each other) of them. The mention of khilal of the fingers of the hands is coming in the next hadith.
