´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “There is no one among you who does not have two abodes: An abode in Paradise and an abode in Hell. If he dies and enters Hell, the people of Paradise inherit his abode. This is what Allah says: ‘These are indeed the inheritors.’” [23:10]
Explanation & Benefits
Maulana Ataullah Sajid
Benefits and Issues:
➊
Every person has a house in Paradise and also in Hell; this indicates Allah Ta'ala's unparalleled justice and boundless mercy.
➋
These houses are shown to every deceased person when he reaches the grave. See: (Hadith 4268)
➌
The house of the one who enters Hell remains vacant in Paradise; it is given to some inhabitant of Paradise. This too is an expression of Allah's mercy and His grace.
