´Mu’adh bin Jabal said:` “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘Paradise has one hundred grades, each of which is as big as the distance between heaven and earth. The highest of them is Firdaws and the best of them is Firdaws. The Throne is above Firdaws and from it spring forth the rivers of Paradise. If you ask of Allah, ask Him for Firdaws.’”
Explanation & Benefits

Benefits and Issues:
➊ Believers surpass one another in terms of faith and deeds. In the same way, there are many levels in Paradise, each higher and more excellent than the other.
➋ Striving to attain the lofty ranks of Paradise is legislatively required. Allah the Exalted has said:
“And hasten towards forgiveness from your Lord and a Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the God-fearing.”
➌ Al-Firdaws is the highest and most superior part of Paradise.
➍ The Throne (‘Arsh) of Allah is one of His creations which truly exists. Therefore, it is not correct to interpret it as referring to Allah’s majesty, power, sovereignty, or authority, etc.
➎ One should ask Allah the Exalted for the highest blessing. In particular, one should request for Paradise al-Firdaws, so that a place may be attained in the neighborhood of the noble Prophets, and especially Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).
➏ The Owner of Paradise is Allah, so supplication should be made to Allah alone. Not to any Prophet or saint. Even the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) used to supplicate to Allah for Paradise.
