Hadith 4305

حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ , حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ , عَنْ قَتَادَةَ , قَالَ : قَالَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ : قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يُرَى فِيهِ أَبَارِيقُ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ كَعَدَدِ نُجُومِ السَّمَاءِ " .
´Anas bin Malik narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` ‘One can see in it (the Cistern) jugs of gold and silver, like the number of stars in the sky.”

Benefits and Issues:
The highest and most elevated status for a wealthy person is that he continues to spend his wealth, rather than hoarding or accumulating it. However, attaining this highest rank is not within the capacity of every wealthy individual. Therefore, this is merely an encouragement and a recommended (mustahabb) matter; it is not obligatory or necessary.
