´It was narrated that Rifa’ah Al-Juhani said:` “We came back (from a campaign) with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he said: ‘By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, there is no person who believes then stands firm, but he will be caused to enter Paradise. I hope that they will not enter it until you and those who are righteous among your offspring will enter it and take up your dwelling places therein. And my Lord has promised me that seventy thousand of my nation will enter Paradise without being brought to account.’”
Explanation & Benefits
Maulana Ataullah Sajid
Benefits and Issues:
➊ The believers of the Ummah of Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) will enter Paradise before the believers of other communities.
➋ For entry into Paradise, along with faith (iman), it is also necessary to fulfill its requirements, remain steadfast on the straight path, and avoid sins.
➌ No person becomes deserving of entry into Paradise merely because his parents are righteous; rather, it is necessary for him to be righteous himself.
➍ Believers of high ranks will be admitted to Paradise without reckoning.
➎ In one hadith, the following qualities are mentioned regarding the seventy thousand believers who will enter Paradise without reckoning: they do not get themselves cauterized (with fire), do not seek ruqyah (spiritual healing by incantation), do not take bad omens, and place their trust in their Lord. (Sahih al-Bukhari, Kitab al-Riqaq, Chapter: Seventy Thousand Will Enter Paradise Without Reckoning, Hadith: 6541)
