´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` “A Jewish man said in the marketplace of Al-Madinah: ‘By the One Who chose Musa above all of mankind.’ An Ansari man raised his hand and slapped him. He said: ‘How dare you say this when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) is among us?’ Mention of that was made to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and he said: ‘Allah says: “And the trumpet will be blown, and all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth will swoon away, except him whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown a second time, and behold they will be standing, looking on (waiting).” [39:68] I will be the first one to raise his head, and I will see Musa holding on to one of the pillars of the Throne, and I do not know whether he will have raised his head before me, or he will be one of those whom Allah exempts. And whoever says that I am better than Yunus bin Matta, he is lying.”
Explanation & Benefits

Benefits and Issues:
➊ Zeal for one’s religion is required among Muslims. However, its expression should not be in such a manner that it results in the disparagement of any other prophet, as this is not permissible.
➋ The Companion struck the Jew because his statement implied the superiority of Musa (alayhis salam) over Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). Such an act was inappropriate.
➌ The mention of the partial superiority of Musa (alayhis salam) was made to clarify that even a true statement should not be made in such a way that there is a risk of it being misunderstood.
➍ The conditions of the Day of Resurrection pertain to the unseen (ghayb). Of these, whatever was informed to the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), he came to know. And whatever was not informed, he did not know. Therefore, the belief in absolute knowledge of the unseen (‘ilm al-ghayb) for the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is not correct.
➎ The Throne (‘Arsh) is a creation of Allah, which has legs. On the Day of Resurrection, everyone will see it. And some special doers of good deeds will be protected from the severity of the Gathering (Mahshar) in its shade.
➏ Regarding those who will not lose consciousness from the sound of the Trumpet (Sur), there is no clarification in the hadith. It is not appropriate to speculate about this from oneself.
➐ In the aforementioned hadith, it is narrated regarding the blowing of the Trumpet (Sur) that it will be blown twice. How much interval will there be between the first and second blowing of the Trumpet? About this, Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) states that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: There will be an interval of forty between the two blowings of the Trumpet. The people asked: O Abu Hurairah, forty days? He said: I cannot say. Then they asked: Forty years? Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) said: I cannot say. They asked: Forty months? Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) said: I cannot say. And the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: The entire body of a person will decay (rot away), except for the tip of the tailbone. Then on the Day of Resurrection, the structure of a person will be raised from it. (Sahih al-Bukhari, al-Tafsir, Hadith: 4814)
