Explanation & Benefits

Benefits and Issues:
(1)
People show respect when they see wealth.
If a person from a noble family becomes poor, he is not given the same importance.
This is the condition among people.

(2)
The real thing that should be the cause of honor and respect is a person’s righteousness and piety (taqwa).
True nobility is this; therefore, in the Hereafter, honor will be granted only on the basis of taqwa.
Allah Ta’ala says:
﴿إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللهِ أَتْقَاكُم﴾ ()
“Indeed, the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous among you.”
