´It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Woe to the most wealthy except those who do such and such with the money, and such and such” – four things, (pointing) to his right, to his left, in front of him and behind him.
Explanation & Benefits
Maulana Ataullah Sajid
Benefits and Issues:
➊
Wealth is accumulated through greed and miserliness, and both of these are blameworthy traits.
➋
It is necessary to spend wealth earned through lawful means in the way of Allah and on righteous deeds; spending wealth solely on personal comforts and luxuries is not correct.
➌
The generous person is protected from destruction because his wealth becomes a means for an increase in his good deeds. The more he spends, the more he will be deserving of higher ranks in Paradise.
