Benefits and Issues:
➊
Our esteemed researcher has declared the mentioned narration weak in its chain, stating that the narration is authentic except for the last sentence (إِلَّا مَنْ أَحْياَءَ اللهُ بِالعِلم) — "except for the one whom Allah keeps alive through knowledge." Furthermore, this appears to be the opinion of other researchers regarding this hadith as well. See: (Da‘if Sunan Ibn Majah by al-Albani, no. 790, Maktabat al-Ma‘arif, Riyadh edition). Therefore, the mentioned narration is authentic except for the last sentence. And Allah knows best.
➋
Informing about events that will occur in the future is a miracle of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) and a proof of his prophethood.
➌
The purpose of warning about tribulations (fitan) is that Muslims should be more mindful of safeguarding their faith in such circumstances.
➍
Some sins are such that a person considers them insignificant, whereas they are actually those that expel one from Islam. Therefore, no sin should be considered insignificant.
