Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! I saw in a dream as if my neck was cut off." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The devil mocks a person (in a dream); a person should not tell anyone about it."
Shaykh Muhammad Ibrahim bin Basheer
Benefit: It is established from this hadith that satanic dreams should not be related to others; only good dreams may be narrated. Interpretation should be sought only from someone who fears Allah and is a person of knowledge, not from just anyone.
