Benefits and Issues:

Our Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is the last Prophet.
Therefore, it is no longer possible to benefit directly from prophethood.

True dreams are called "mubashshirat" (glad tidings).
Because through them, Allah, the Exalted, informs the believer of a forthcoming blessing or warns him of an impending calamity, so that the person may supplicate and take precautionary measures to avoid it.

Most dreams are such that they require interpretation.
However, some dreams occur exactly as they are seen.
For example, when the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) saw himself performing ‘umrah with his companions, then in the following year, ‘umrah was performed in exactly the same manner.

«ذهبت النبوة فلانبوة بعدي إلا المبشرات»

Prophethood has ended, so there will be no prophethood after me except for glad tidings. It was asked: What are glad tidings? He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: A good dream which a man sees or which is shown to him. [المعجم الكبير للطبراني 3/ 179 ح 3051 وسنده صحيح]

Benefit:
This hadith proves that the door of prophethood is closed, and "mubashshirat" refers to good dreams, because through them Allah, the Exalted, informs the believer of a forthcoming blessing or warns him of an impending calamity, so that the person may supplicate and take measures to avoid it.
