Benefits and Issues:
➊ Only Allah, the Exalted, is the One who protects from every kind of evil.
➋ This supplication is a request for protection from various types of evils: guidance protects from misguidance; taqwa (piety) protects from sin; chastity and modesty protect from immoral habits and indecency; contentment of the heart protects from greed and miserliness; and outward sufficiency protects from having to extend one's hand before others for worldly needs.

Hadith Commentary: Benefits and Issues: This too is an extremely comprehensive supplication.
In it, guidance—that is, walking upon the path of truth and remaining steadfast upon it—
piety (taqwa) and God-consciousness, meaning protection and safeguarding from sins, evil deeds, and reprehensible acts,
chastity and purity, that is, refraining from inappropriate things,
and asking for independence and self-sufficiency from people,
are all requested.
And without these, a person cannot live a life of contentment and tranquility.
