حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ , عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ , عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ , عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ , يَقُولُ : أَنَا مَعَ عَبْدِي إِذَا هُوَ ذَكَرَنِي , وَتَحَرَّكَتْ بِي شَفَتَاهُ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet(ﷺ) said:` "Allah says: 'I am with My slave when he remembers Me and his lips move saying My Name.'"

Benefits and Issues:

Allah Ta'ala's general accompaniment (ma'iyyah) is with every creature, in that He is with each one in terms of His knowledge and power. There is another type of accompaniment, which is of help and support, and this is granted to those who strive or fight in His path. This is the same kind of accompaniment that is granted to those who engage in remembrance (dhikr) of Him; its purpose is to express His pleasure.

Allah Ta'ala is not personally present everywhere; rather, He is above the Mighty Throne ('Arsh) in the heavens, as is established by the clear texts of the Qur'an and Hadith. The statement of Allah, the Exalted, is:
"The Most Merciful is established above the Throne." (Ta Ha 20:5)

The remembrance (dhikr) of Allah is a very great virtue.
