Hadith 3782

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ , عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ , عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمْ إِذَا رَجَعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ , أَنْ يَجِدَ فِيهِ ثَلَاثَ خَلِفَاتٍ عِظَامٍ سِمَانٍ " ، قُلْنَا : نَعَمْ , قَالَ : " فَثَلَاثُ آيَاتٍ يَقْرَؤُهُنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ , خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ ثَلَاثِ خَلِفَاتٍ سِمَانٍ عِظَامٍ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said:` "Wouldn't anyone of you like to find three great, fat pregnant she-camels when he returns to his family?" We said: "Yes." He said: "Three verses that one of you recites during the praer are better for him than three great, fat pregnant she-camels."

Benefits and Issues:
(1)
The benefit of reciting the Noble Qur’an is so great that even the greatest wealth of this world is insignificant in comparison to it.
(2)
The mention of pregnant she-camels is because, in that era, they were considered by the Arabs to be the finest and most valuable property.
(3)
The reward for recitation (tilawah) in prayer (salah) is greater than the reward for recitation outside of prayer.
