Benefits and Issues:
➊ The mentioned narration has been declared weak in its chain by our esteemed researcher, whereas Hafiz Ibn Hajar and Shaykh al-Albani rahimahullah have considered it hasan due to other supporting evidences. For details, see: (al-Silsilah al-Sahihah, no. 44). This conversation took place before the birth of Hazrat Suhayb radi Allahu anhu’s son, Hazrat Hamzah rahimahullah, and was later conveyed to him.
➋ It is permissible to adopt a kunyah (teknonym) before having children.
➌ Just as it is permissible to name someone after the names of the noble Prophets alayhimus-salam, likewise it is also permissible to adopt a kunyah with those names.
