Benefits and Issues:
➊ If a person is sitting or lying in the sunlight, and then the sunlight moves away so that part of his body is in the shade and part in the sunlight, he should change his place so that his whole body is either in the sunlight or entirely in the shade.

Sitting in Sunlight and Shade

It is narrated from Buraidah ibn al-Husayb (radi Allahu anhu) that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) forbade sitting in a place where there is both sunlight and shade.

Its chain of narration is hasan (good).

Al-Busayri has also graded it as hasan.

Ikrimah, the Tabi‘i, said: Whoever sits in a place where there is both sunlight and shade, such sitting is the sitting of Shaytan. [

Ubayd ibn Umayr (Tabi‘i) said: Sitting in sunlight and shade is the sitting of Shaytan. [

Therefore, one should avoid sitting in such a manner.
