Brief Explanation
1؎: That is, when you meet one another, say "Assalamu Alaikum" whether you are acquainted with the person or not. The very first means of introduction is the greeting of peace (salam), and it is the key to love. It is obligatory upon every Muslim that when he meets another Muslim, he should not wait for the other to greet him first, but rather he himself should initiate the greeting, whether the other is of lower, higher, or equal status. This is the hallmark of perfect faith (iman).
