حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْهِرَّةُ لَا تَقْطَعُ الصَّلَاةَ لِأَنَّهَا مِنْ مَتَاعِ الْبَيْتِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that:` The Messenger of Allah said: "Cats do not invalidate the prayer, because they are one of the things that are useful in the house."
Brief Explanation
1؎: The kunya of Ubaydullah ibn Abd al-Majid is not "Abu Bakr" but rather "Abu Ali." Abu Bakr is his brother (see: Tahdhib al-Kamal).
