´It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had hair that came between his earlobes and his shoulders.”

Commentary:
Jummā refers to hair that reaches up to the shoulders, and wafrah refers to hair that reaches up to the ears.

Benefits and Issues:
➊ When the hair of the head reaches the earlobes, it is called (wafrah), and when it reaches the shoulders, it is called (jummah). The length in between these is referred to as (limmah).
➋ It is permissible for men to keep their hair at any of the aforementioned lengths, provided that the intention is to follow the example of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).
