Benefits and Issues:

White-colored clothing is better and more virtuous. (Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith: 3544)
However, black color is also permissible.

It is better that the entire clothing not be black, because in the present era this has become a symbol of a particular sect. If only the turban is black, then there is no resemblance to them.

It is permissible to enter Makkah al-Mukarramah without the ihram.
Ihram is only necessary when entering Makkah with the intention of Hajj or Umrah.
