´It was narrated from Hasan that Anas bin Malik said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) wore wool, and his shows were sandals.”

Benefits and Issues: In the time of the noble Companions (Sahabah) and the Followers (Tabi'in), woolen clothing was considered the cheapest and lowest quality. Cotton fabric was regarded as valuable and fine. Similarly, wheat bread was eaten only by those who lived a life of luxury and comfort. Ordinary people would eat barley bread.
