Hadith Takhrij «تفرد بہ ابن ماجہ ، ( تحفة الأشراف : 6126 ، ومصباح الزجاجة : 1234 ) ، وقد أخرجہ : مسند احمد ( 1/269 ، 328 ) ( صحیح ) »
Brief Explanation
1؎: Contagion, that is, a disease does not spread by itself; rather, all of this occurs by the command of Allah Ta'ala and according to the destiny He has decreed. However, it is recommended (mustahabb) to adopt means and precautions while placing trust (tawakkul) in Allah Ta'ala to avoid diseases. The owl cannot see during the day, so it comes out at night and mostly resides in deserted places. The Arabs used to consider it inauspicious, and some believed that the soul of a murdered person would become an owl and cry out; when revenge was taken for the murder, the owl would fly away. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) declared this belief to be false. Similarly, the common people still consider the month of Safar to be inauspicious. The first thirteen days of the month of Safar, during which the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) fell ill, are called "Tairah Tezi" (the thirteen fasts), and during these days, women do not allow any major events such as marriages to take place. This too is baseless. The month of Safar is like any other month; there is no difference.

Benefits and Issues:

A sick person does not transmit illness to a healthy person.

Contemporary scientists and doctors believe that diseases spread through germs.
But at the same time, they also acknowledge
that germs can only have an effect
when the body's immune system is weakened.
Thus, the real cause is not the existence of germs, but rather the weakness of the body's defense system.

One of the Arabs’ mistaken beliefs was that if the blood of a murdered person was not avenged, an owl would emerge from his skull and screech.
When revenge was taken, the soul of the murdered person would find peace and the owl would become silent.
The hadith refutes this superstition.

By “Safar” is meant the month that comes after Muharram,
which was considered inauspicious.
In reality, no day, month, or number is unlucky.

Another mistaken belief of the Arabs was that hunger is caused by a worm present in the stomach.
They called this “Safar”; this too was one of their superstitions.
