Explanation & Benefits
Maulana Ataullah Sajid
Benefits and Issues:

If bitten by a snake, wasp, scorpion, etc., one should have incantation (ruqyah) performed.
For this purpose, the incantation with Surah al-Fatihah is preferable.

The meaning of the hadith is not that it is impermissible to perform incantation for other illnesses.
Rather, for these two things, performing incantation is an easier and more effective treatment.

The evidence for the permissibility of incantation for other illnesses is found in the hadiths of Chapters 36 and 37.
