Benefits and Issues:

The mentioned narration is weak in its chain of transmission.
However, it is established from other evidences
that the correct method of treatment through the Qur’an is to recite Qur’anic verses and supplications (ad‘iyah) and then blow (phoonk) upon the patient.
For example, Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri radi Allahu anhu recited Surah al-Fatihah and performed ruqyah (spiritual healing) on the person who had been bitten by a snake.
When this was presented to the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he affirmed it.
See: (Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Medicine, Chapter: Ruqyah with al-Fatihah, Hadith: 5736)

Recitation of the Qur’an and its understanding is a complete cure for diseases of the heart and soul.
