´It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said:` “Healing is in three things: A drink of honey, the glass of the cupper, and cauterizing with fire, but I forbid my nation to use cauterization.” And he attributed it to the Prophet (ﷺ).

Explanation & Benefits
Maulana Ataullah Sajid
Benefits and Issues:

➊ For treatment, preference should be given to honey and other medicines mentioned in the hadith.

➋ If benefit is not obtained from honey, etc., then cupping may be performed; this too is a permissible treatment.

➌ Although cauterization (burning the body with fire) is a good treatment, it is better to avoid it. And Allah knows best.
