´It was narrated from Jabir that the Prophet (ﷺ) fell from his horse onto the truck of a palm tree and dislocated his foot. (One of the narrators) Waki’ said:` “Meaning that the Prophet (ﷺ) was cupped because of that for bruising.”
Explanation & Benefits
Maulana Ataullah Sajid
Benefits and Issues:
➊ If one sprains their foot or a joint bone is displaced from its place, cupping (hijamah) is beneficial.
➋ If, due to an accident, an injury occurs but there is no wound, the blood coagulates at the site of the injury and causes pain. In this situation, by performing cupping (hijamah), the circulation of blood in the affected area is restored.
