´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “If there is any good in any of the remedies you use, it is in cupping.”
Explanation & Benefits
Maulana Ataullah Sajid
Benefits and Issues:
➊
Cupping is applied with a bowl-like object.
It is placed on the skin after being emptied of air.
This creates pressure on a part of the body,
which causes blood and harmful substances to be forcefully drawn out.
➋
Cupping is a treatment for almost every illness.
However, the practitioner should be knowledgeable,
one who knows on which part of the body cupping should be applied for which illness.

Benefits and Issues:
➊ In the statements of most scholars, the matter of spouses (husband and wife) being compatible (kufu’, i.e., equal in status) with each other is mentioned, and the following aspects are taken into consideration: religion, freedom, lineage, occupation and craft, freedom from defects, and wealth and abundance. However, it is narrated from Imam Malik rahimahullah that fundamentally, being compatible in religion and Islam alone is considered valid, and this is also narrated from Ibn Umar and Ibn Mas’ud radi Allahu anhum and from the Tabi’in by Muhammad Abdul Aziz rahimahullah. The Noble Qur’an has stated very clearly: (إِنَّمَا المؤمِنونَ إِخوَةٌ) () “The believers are but brothers,” and (وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ) () “We made you into peoples and tribes so that you may know one another. Indeed, the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you.” In some individuals or families, certain particular habits or characteristics are well-known; if these are acceptable and do not become an obstacle to tranquility and peace in domestic life, then they should not be made a hindrance to the establishment of marital relations in any way.
➋ Abu Hind (Yasar radi Allahu anhu) was a slave. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told the people of Banu Bayadah, an Arab family, to accept him for marriage. From this incident, it is established that the real compatibility (kafa’ah) is the compatibility of religion; when religion is set aside, family status and social hierarchy have no significance.

Benefits and Issues:
In the case where blood pressure increases in a part of the body and the blood becomes agitated, the skin is incised with a lancet in a specific manner to draw out blood. This was a well-known method of treatment in Arabia, which has always been practiced in ancient medicine, especially among the Arabs.
Now, even in the West, some hospitals are benefiting from this method of treatment, and systems for its teaching and training are also being established.
Through this method of treatment, the disturbances in the electromagnetic system established within the human body by the circulation of blood are corrected.

Takhrij:
«أخرجه أبوداود، النكاح، باب في الأكفاء ، حديث:2102، والحاكم:2 /164 وصححه علي شرط مسلم، ووافقه الذهبي.»©Explanation:
➊ Abu Hind was a freed slave of Banu Bayadah, which was a tribe among the Arab tribes.
➋ The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to Banu Bayadah: “Marry Abu Hind to a woman from your tribe.” In this way, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam shattered the idol of lineage.
➌ Among the noble Companions radi Allahu anhum, ‘Abdur Rahman ibn ‘Awf radi Allahu anhu, a distinguished and wealthy Companion (who belonged to the most honored tribe of the Arabs, Quraysh), broke the pride of lineage by marrying his sister Halah to Bilal al-Habashi. And the second Caliph, ‘Umar radi Allahu anhu, before the marriage of his daughter Hafsah radi Allahu anha to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, had offered her in marriage to Salman al-Farisi radi Allahu anhu.
➍ From these examples, it is proven that lineage and beauty are certainly of importance, but in comparison to religiosity, their status is secondary.
Explanation: «ابوہند رضی اللہ عنہ » His name was Yasar. And according to one opinion, his name was Salim ibn Abi Salim, and according to another opinion, ‘Abdullah ibn Hind. He was that fortunate Companion who performed cupping (hijama) for the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. He was a freed slave of Banu Bayadah. Ibn ‘Abbas, Abu Hurairah, Jabir, and Khalid radi Allahu anhum narrated hadith from him.
