´It was narrated that Asma’ bint ‘Umais said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me: ‘What do you use as a laxative?’ I said: ‘The Shubrum (spurge – Euphorb).’ He said: (It is) hot and powerful.’ Then I used senna as a laxative and he said: ‘If anything were to cure death, it would be senna. Senna is a cure for death.’”

Benefits and Issues: The mentioned narration is weak in its chain of transmission. As for the benefits of Sana (Makkī), they can be seen in the previous hadith 3455, which is of Hasan (good) grade.

´Asma' bint 'Umais narrated that the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) asked her what they used as a laxative. She said:` "Shubrum" He said: "It is hot and too strong." She said:"Then I used Senna as a laxative." So the Prophet (S.A.W) said: "If there was anything that would have a cure for death in it, then it would have been Senna."

Explanation: 1: It is a type of grain, hot and hard in nature, about the size of a chickpea.
2: It is the name of a purgative medicine.
Note: (There is severe confusion in its chain of narration (Zar‘ah bin Abdullah, Zar‘ah bin Abdur-Rahman), (Utbah bin Abdullah, Ubaydullah); in any case, this person is unknown (majhool).)
