Benefits and Issues: ➊ The mentioned narration is weak in its chain of transmission. However, from other evidences it becomes clear that honey is a means of cure for physical illnesses, and the Qur’an removes spiritual and heart-related diseases.
➋ Physical illnesses are also removed by the Qur’an. For example, a patient bitten by a snake was cured by reciting Surah Al-Fatihah over him. (Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Medicine, Chapter: Incantation with Al-Fatihah, Hadith: 5736 and Sahih Muslim, Book of Peace, Chapter: The Permissibility of Taking a Wage for Incantation with the Qur’an and Remembrances, Hadith: 2201)
