حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ , وَسُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ , عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ , عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " سَاقِي الْقَوْمِ آخِرُهُمْ شُرْبًا " .
´It was narrated from Abu Qatadah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “The oen who serves water to others should be the last one to drink from it.”

Benefits and Issues:
This detailed hadith is found in Sahih Muslim (Sahih Muslim, Al-Masajid, Hadith: 281). The prayer made by the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam for Abu Qatadah radi Allahu anhu, due to his protection of the blessed person of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, gives hope that similar virtue can be attained for protecting the Shari‘ah brought by the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and his ahadith. As is explicitly mentioned in another hadith: “May Allah keep happy and prosperous that servant who heard my saying, remembered it, and conveyed it just as he heard it.”
