Brief Explanation
1؎: Just as someone might call an intoxicant «مفرح», or someone else might call it "the elixir of vitality," or "the drink of the righteous"—changing the name does not alter the reality. That which is forbidden remains forbidden in every form.
Explanation & Benefits
Maulana Ataullah Sajid
Benefits and Issues:
➊ The mention of the evil deeds that will occur near the Day of Judgment is so that the believer may strive even more to avoid them.

➋ Changing the name of something forbidden does not alter its ruling. For example, calling usury (riba) “profit” or “mark-up” does not change its reality, and likewise, calling alcohol “beverage” or “sherbet” or giving it any other pleasant name does not make it lawful.
