´It was narrated from ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` ‘Season (your food) with olive oil and anoint yourselves with it, for it comes from a blessed tree.”
Hadith Referenceسنن ابن ماجه / كتاب الأطعمة / 3319
'Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Eat olive oil and apply it (to your body), for it is from a blessed tree." __QUR_N__.
Imam Tirmidhi says: We know this hadith only from the narration of 'Abdur Razzaq, who narrates it from Ma'mar.
2- 'Abdur Razzaq is inconsistent in narrating this hadith; sometimes he narrates it as marfu' (attributed to the Prophet), and sometimes, narrating with doubt, he says: I think 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated it from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and sometimes he says: It is narrated from Zayd bin Aslam, from his father, and he narrates it from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a mursal manner. __XREF_N__ __REF_N__

Explanation: 1: Because this tree is found in abundance in the land of Sham (Greater Syria), and Sham is the region about which the Lord of the worlds has stated that We have made this land blessed for all the worlds, it is said that more than seventy prophets and messengers were born in this land, among them Ibrahim (alayhis salam) as well, since this tree grows in a blessed land, therefore it is blessed, and in this regard, its fruit and oil are also not devoid of blessing.
