´It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Beware of stopping to rest and praying in the middle of the road, for it is the refuge of snakes and carnivorous animals, and beware of relieving yourselves in the middle of the road, for this is an act that provokes curses.'"

Commentary:
(1)
At night, when human traffic on the roads ceases, harmful animals and insects emerge from their shelters and traverse these paths. Therefore, if a traveler is lying down and sleeping, it is possible that a snake, scorpion, or the like may harm him.
(2)
This hadith also establishes the prohibition of relieving oneself on the road.
(3)
Some researchers have graded this narration as hasan (good), except for the words (وَالصَّلَاةُ عَلَيهَا).
