Explanation & Benefits

Benefits and Issues:

It is permissible to slaughter an animal with a sharp-edged stone that can cut through the animal’s skin.

It is not necessary to have an iron knife or blade for slaughtering.

Among the common people, it is widely believed that slaughter should only be done with a knife that has a wooden handle and three nails in it, etc. All such notions are baseless.

The hare is lawful (halal); eating its meat is not disliked (makruh).
