´It was narrated that ‘Aishah the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “I used to twist the garlands for the sacrificial animal of the Prophet (ﷺ), and his sacrificial animal would be garlanded and sent (to Makkah), and he would stay (in Al-Madinah) without avoiding any of the things that the one in Ihram avoids.”

1؎: Hady refers to the animal that is slaughtered in Mecca during Hajj al-Tamattu‘ or Hajj al-Qiran. It also refers to the animal that a non-pilgrim sends to Mecca for slaughter during the time of Hajj.
2؎: Because merely sending the hady does not make a person a muhrim (one in the state of ihram). Imam Nawawi says that from this hadith it is derived that sending a hady to the Haram is recommended (mustahabb); if one does not go oneself, one may send it through someone else. This is also the opinion of the majority (jumhur): if the hady is sent through someone else, the sender is not obligated to enter the state of ihram. However, if one takes the hady along oneself, then one becomes a muhrim.
Explanation & Benefits

Benefits and Issues: (1) Hady refers to the animal that is sacrificed within the boundaries of the Haram.
(2) Just as a pilgrim offers the sacrifice of a hady, another person may also send a hady animal to Makkah.
(3) These animals are sacrificed in Mina; however, they may also be sacrificed within Makkah Sharif.
(4) By "collar" (qaladah) is meant the rope that is placed around the neck of the hady, and as a sign, a pair of shoes is hung from this rope around the animal’s neck.
(5) The person sending the sacrificial animal (camel, cow, goat, sheep, etc.) to Makkah is not subject to the restrictions of ihram.
