´It was narrated that Safiyyah bint Shaibah said:` “When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saw that things had settled down, in the year of the Conquest (of Makkah), he performed Tawaf on his camel, touching the corner with a staff in his hand. Then he entered the House and found a dove made of aloeswood. He broke it, then he stood at the door of the Ka’bah and threw it out, and I was watching him.”

Benefits and Issues:

It is permissible to perform tawaf while riding on a mount. Therefore, if someone, due to an excuse, performs tawaf on a palanquin or a wheeled chair, the tawaf is valid.

If it is difficult to touch the Black Stone (Hajar al-Aswad) during tawaf, then it is permissible to kiss it by touching it with a stick or something similar. Otherwise, making a gesture is sufficient.

A "mihjan" refers to a staff or stick whose one end is curved.

An idol of a living being should be broken and discarded, and images should be erased. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) commanded that the images drawn on the walls of the Ka'bah be erased.
