´It was narrated from Jabir bin ‘Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “There is no Muhrim (pilgrim in Ihram) who exposes himself to the sun all day for the sake of Allah, reciting the Talbiyah until the sun goes down, but his sins will disappear and he will go back like on the day his mother bore him.”
Explanation & Benefits

Benefits and Issues:
The mentioned narration is considered weak according to the scholars, therefore, standing in the sun merely to cause oneself hardship is not a virtue.
A Companion intended to stand in the sun, remain silent, and fast.
The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) permitted him to complete his fast but did not permit him to continue standing or to avoid the shade. (Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Faith and Vows, Chapter: Vows regarding what one does not possess and in disobedience, Hadith: 6704)
The meaning is that being in the shade instead of the sun is not an act contrary to the state of ihram.
