´It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar (from ‘Umar) that he asked the Prophet (ﷺ) for permission to perform ‘Umrah, and he gave him permission and said to him:` “O younger brother, give us a share of your supplication, and do not forget us.”

1498. Commentary:
➊ Although this narration is weak in its chain of transmission, it is correct in meaning. That is, the matters established by it are also established by other evidences. For example, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) referring to Umar (radi Allahu anhu) as his brother.
➋ In communal life, seeking permission from elders before undertaking any major important task.
➌ Requesting supplication (du'a) for goodness from people of virtue, especially when they are engaged in a virtuous act.
