´It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that Fadl said – or vice verse:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Whoever intends to perform Hajj, let him hasten to do so, for he may fall sick, lose his mount, or be faced with some need.’”
Explanation & Benefits
Maulana Ataullah Sajid
Benefits and Issues:
(1)
When the opportunity for a good deed arises, it is better to perform it promptly, as it is possible that after this opportunity passes, it may not come again.
(2)
Hajj can only be performed once a year during specific days.
If, despite having the ability, it is postponed to the following year, it may not be possible then.
Or perhaps another chance for Hajj may not come in one's lifetime, and even if it does, the person may not have the means (istita'ah) to perform it.
