Benefits and Issues:
➊
There is a need to fear Allah and keep piety (taqwa) in mind at all times, but it is especially necessary to observe this during jihad, so that one may easily act upon difficult matters such as sincerity of intention, obedience to the leader of jihad, patience in the face of hardships, and avoidance of betrayal regarding war booty (mal-e-ghanīmah), etc.
➋
Even during ordinary travel, it is Sunnah to say "Allahu Akbar" when ascending to a high place and "Subhan Allah" when descending. (Sahih al-Bukhari, al-Jihad, Chapter: Saying Takbir when ascending a height, Hadith: 2994)
