Hadith 2767

´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever dies being prepared in the cause of Allah, will be given continuously the reward for the good deeds that he used to do, and he will be rewarded with provision, and he will be kept safe from Fattan,* and Allah will raise him on the Day of Resurrection free of fright.”

Explanation & Benefits
Maulana Ataullah Sajid
Benefits and Issues:
➊ The meaning of preparation is that he is completely ready at the frontier for battle, so that as soon as the battle begins, he immediately participates in it.

➋ Due to sincerity of intention, the reward for good deeds is granted even if the opportunity to perform that deed was not available.

➌ The meaning of the reward continuing is that the person continues to receive reward equal to the good deeds he used to perform in his lifetime, even after his death.

➍ By sustenance (rizq) is meant the sustenance of Paradise.

➎ (Futtān)
By "the testers" are meant the angels who question in the grave.
Such a person is not questioned in the grave, or he succeeds by giving correct answers to the questions.
This word (fattān) has also been recited; in that case, it refers to the Dajjal, or Satan, or the angel of punishment.
The one who dies at the frontier will remain safe from them.
