´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` “Then the Verse of Li’an was revealed, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Any woman who attributed her child to people to whom he does not belong, then she has no relation to (the religion of) Allah, and she will never enter Paradise, and any man who rejects his child, while he recognizes him, Allah will screen Himself from him on the Day of Resurrection and disgrace him before the witnesses.’”

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
(1) "Who is not from among them" — that is, he is the result of adultery, but she attributes him to the husband.
(2) "Has no connection with Allah, the Exalted" — this is hyperbole; the apparent words are not intended. The meaning is that it is a very grave sin which can become a cause for deprivation from Allah, the Exalted, and His mercy. Or, the following sentence, "Allah, the Exalted, will not admit him to Paradise," is its explanation.
(3) "While the child is looking at him" — this translation is also possible: "While the man is looking at the child, realizing that he is indeed his." And Allah knows best.

Benefits and Issues:
If a woman commits adultery somewhere and becomes pregnant, and then attributes the child to her husband and his people, or if a father, without any valid or legitimate reason, denies his own child, then both of these are extremely detestable and vile acts.
And both of these actions are among the major sins (kaba'ir).
