Benefits and Issues:
➊ The mentioned narration has been declared weak in its chain of transmission by our esteemed researcher; however, some scholars have graded it as hasan (good) due to other supporting evidences. For details, see: (Al-Mawsu‘ah al-Hadithiyyah, Musnad al-Imam Ahmad: 45/475, 476, and Al-Irwa’, no. 1641). Therefore, the rulings of Islamic Shari‘ah are a source of benefit in both this world and the Hereafter.
➋ When a person makes a bequest (wasiyyah) for a good deed, the benefit for the deceased is that when his bequest is acted upon after his death, the reward for that deed reaches him.
➌ Even if the heirs do not act upon the bequest for a good deed, the deceased will still certainly receive the reward for making a good bequest.
